On Saturday, February 4, 2012, our hearts were saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved, Mr. Brian McCluney "Nukie" Brown of 3318 Dupuy Road, South Chesterfield, Virginia. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 6, 1974 to the late Cephas Brown and Willie Mae Brown.
Brian was a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God In Christ. He was employed as a construction worker with the B.P. Short Paving Company,Shoosmith Company and Virginia Waste Service. He enjoyed spending time with family, sports and his dog (Chuck).
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Toni Harrison-Brown of South Chesterfield, Va., one son, Ernest Harrison (Patrice) of South Chesterfield, Va., four daughters, Breanna Barnes of Waverly, Va., Andrea Harrison of Petersburg, Va., Shamilia Harrison (Tramayne) of South Chesterfield, Va., and Copellia Harrison of South Chesterfield, Va.; brother, McCoy Baines of Waverly, Va.; grandmother, Katie Baines of Waverly, Va.; Five grandchilden, Zoie Harrison, Sean Abdul, Avonny Watson, Riley Collier and Elijah Harrison; aunts, Lucille Parker of Waverly, Va., Nancy Harris (Morris) of Waverly, Va., Katherine Baines of Malden, MA., Margie Faulcon (Robert) of Dinwiddie, Va.; uncles, Walter Baines (Bennie) of Prince George, Va., Rev. Lorenzo Baines (Rev. Shirley) of Dinwiddie, Va., Glenn Baines of Hopewell, Va., Donald Baines of Waverly, Va., Leonard Baines of Chesapeake, Va. and Dallas Brown of Richmond, Va.; great uncle, Archie Baines of Philadelphia, PA.; paternal aunt, Irene Artis of Portsmouth, Va.; paternal uncles, Willie Joe Brown of Sedley, Va., and Eugene Brown of Chesapeake, Va.; mother and father –in-law, Walter and Ernestine Smith of Petersburg, Va.; sisters-in-law, Christine McLaurin of Richmond, Va. Linda Garris (Lewis) of Dinwiddie, Va., Brenda Harrison of Chester, Va., Iona Givens of Las Vegas, NV., Patricia Harrison – Phillips of Richmond, Virginia, Kim Monroe (Gerald) of Petersburg, Virginia and Michelle Davis (Anthony) of Petersburg, Va.; and brother-in-law, George Robinson of California and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service for Brian Brown will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:30pm at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God In Christ, 233 Halifax Street, Petersburg, Virginia Pastor Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr., Eulogist. Interment to follow in Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Va. Viewing will be one hour prior to service at the church.Family members are asked to assemble at the residence at 1:00pm on the day of the service. The family may be reached at (804) 835-7183.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 4pm-8pm and Friday, February 10, 2012 from 10am - 8pm at the funeral home.
