A graveside service will be held for Mr. Robert D. Ruffin, a long-time resident of Somerset, New Jersey, on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1:30pm in the Town of Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Virginia.
Robert was the son of the late Bessie Pegram and Peter R. Ruffin of Waverly, Virginia. He spent his childhood in Waverly and attended Sussex County Training School.
Robert is survived by a sister, Mattie Ruffin Riddick, of Baltimore, MD; a niece, Tiffany R. Adams (Todd), of Pikesville, MD; an aunt, Martha Pegram of Hampton, Va.; devoted cousin, Marian Taylor and daughters of Waverly, Va.; and many Ruffin and Simms cousins.
Services will be conducted by Elder Melvin Haskins, Waverly Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family will assemble at the residence of Mr. Kern and Mrs. Gloria Allen, 420 Elm St. Waverly, Va. at 1:00pm on the day of the service.
