Mr. Shawn Zackery Jones, “Big Sexy 1”, of 1401 Litwack Cove Dr. Chester, Va, departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at John Randolph Medical Center, Hopewell, Va.
He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles Jones and Ruth Hill. He attended school in the Baltimore Maryland School System.
Shawn was employed by Colonial Mechanical, Chester Va.and was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Chester, Va. Shawn was an avid football fan. His favorite team was the Indianapolis Colts.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Hill.
Shawn is survived by his devoted wife ,Jennifer Brown; four sons, David Jones, Daryn Jones, Zachary Jones and Shawatae Jones; two daughters, Brenda Jones and Shawnice Jones; four brothers , James Hill, Jimmy Hill, Carlos Jones and Ronnie Harris; three sisters, Sharon Hill, Paulette Williams and Melissa Hill; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Shawn Zackery Jones will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 26, 2012 from the Second Baptist Church, 5100 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, Va. 23831 with the Pastor Rev. Dr. Johnnie Fleming, Jr. officiating. Interment in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park Cemetery, Petersburg, Va. Viewing will be one hour prior to service at the church.
Family members are asked to assemble at the residence at 11:45am on the day of the service. The family may be reached at (804) 530-0112.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, March 24,2012 from 5pm-8pm and Sunday, March 25, 2012, 11am - 8pm at the funeral home.
