Mrs. Susie Pointer of 905 Foley Drive, Williamsburg, Virginia(formerly of Waverly, Va.) entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Williamsburg, Virginia.
Susie was born on October 30, 1918 to the late Ned Blow and Susie Moyler of Waverly, Virginia.
She was educated in Sussex County School System and was a member of Union Hill United Church of Christ Sedley, Va.;after relocating to Philadelphia she became a disciple of United Methodist Church.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Pointer; daughter, Gertrude Brooks and a son, Henry Pointer.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, ten grandchildren, Felix Brooks, Desiree Piggott (Sherman), Jackie Brooks, Kenneth Brooks, Avery Brooks (Pia), Dorothy Pope (Shean), Reuben Brooks (Shelly), Anthony Newsome, William Pointer, and Vincent Pointer; 25 Great grandchildren; 14 great- great grandchildren;a host of nieces, nephews,cousins and extended family, the Kramers and Dicklers.
Homegoing services for Mrs. Susie Pointer will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 1:00pm from Union Hill United Church of Christ 16192 Union Hill Rd. , Sedley, Va., with the Rev. Roy Stokes,Pastor Officiating.
Remains will lie in state at the church at 11:00 am on the day of the service. Interment will be in the Union Hill Church Cemetery Sedley, Virginia.
Visitation will be on Friday , September 21, 2012 from 11:00 am to 12 noon at the Church.
