Shelia Lannette Coggin, 57, of Church Road, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edwin Kitchens, and husband, Samuel B. Coggin Jr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Lynn Coggin and Lisa Hughes; one son, Samuel Coggin III; her mother, Claire Louise Stewart of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Christina, Krystal, Samuel, Christopher, Sierra, Adam and Eli; two brothers, Randy Kitchens (Margie) and Michael Kitchens (Beverly); one sister, Julie Stewart, all of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service for Shelia Lannette Coggin will be conducted today, Oct. 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, with the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Brown Sr., pastor of Gravel Run Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va., officiating. Interment will be at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, Va. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. today.
