Mr. George E. Cain of 1824 Fine Street, #16, Prince George, Va. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Richmond, Va.
George was born on December 22, 1943 in Louisiana to the late Andrew Cain and Anna Burrise Seal. He graduated from Iberville High School and attended Southern University. George was married to the late Audrey Mae Bridgewater Cain and to this union, two daughters were born.
As hobbies, George enjoyed swimming, basketball and playing the drums. George was a retired Mechanic.
George was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Marie Seal. He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Lisa Michelle Brooks of Dinwiddie, Va. and Kimberly Edris Mabry (Kendall) of Decatur, Georgia; two grandchildren; stepfather, William Seal Sr. of Plaquemine, La.; two brothers, Andrew Cain Jr. of Richmond California and William Seal Jr. (Janice) of Plaquemine, La.; three sisters, Mary Alice Seal of Blanchard, California, Virginia Mae Cain and Karen Ann Cain Watson both of Plaquemine, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Home going services for Mr. George E. Cain will be conducted on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, Va. (North Dinwiddie County) with Rev. Steven Pugh, Pastor of Mt. Poole Baptist Church, Officiating. Interment will follow in SouthLawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, Va.
Public viewing will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 9am to 8pm at the funeral home. The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at 1824 Fine St. Petersburg, Va. on the day of the service at 9:30 am.
