Mr. Gary Robert Perkins “GaGa” of Petersburg, Va. (North Dinwiddie County) entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his family and friends.
Gary was born on March 20, 1961 in West Virginia to the late Charles Robert Perkins and Peggy Joyce Lanford. He received his education in the Lake City School System, Florida and was employed by Priority Toyota, Chester, Va. as a Car Lot Detailer.
Gary was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, North Dinwiddie, Va. He loved building model cars, listening to music and watching race car races.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jerry Perkins.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Darrell Perkins of Macon, Ga; two sisters, Shelia Lanford (Dennis) and Sheri Johnson all of Ocean Springs, MS.; his extended family, Jessica White, Jennie White (Rick), Allison Mcalpin, E.J. Scott, Melissa Page, Justin Page and Tater Page all of North Dinwiddie, Va. ; three aunts, Debbie Crawford (Charles) of Danville, Va; Kathy Matney (Lewis) of Statesville, NC.; and Jane Madlock of High Springs, Fl; a sister-in-law, Lora Lanford of Ocean Spring, MS.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of life service for Mr. Gary Robert Perkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Pine Grove Baptist Church 22218 Dabney Mill Rd. North Dinwiddie, Va. 23803 with Pastor Rodney Jenkins, officiating.
The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at the church on the day of service at 10:45 a.m.
