Mrs. Willie Ruth Campbell "Baby Ruth"

Baby Ruth Campbell of Richmond, Va. passed away on March 18, 2017 at her residence. Baby Ruth was born on June 12, 1928 to the late William and Mary Talley.
Baby Ruth was a people’s person. She loved citing poems. She loved her children and her children loved her. But nothing compared to the love she had for her Creator. Baby Ruth was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness until her passing. She was a member of the Ginter Park Congregation.
Baby Ruth was preceded in death by two husbands, Christopher Campbell, and Irvin Wilkins Sr. Her union with Irvin produced nine sons and three daughters. Three sons, Forrest, Kirby and Irvin Wilkins, Jr., preceded her in death.
Baby Ruth is survived by her sons, Larry (Roberta) of McKenney, VA, Terry (Mary) and Robert (Ethel) of Lawrenceville ,VA, Donald (Zelma) of Enon, VA, Timmy (Carlotta) of Newport News, VA, her baby boy, Ronnie (Michelle);three daughters, Brenda (Earnest) of Richmond VA, Cherry (John), and her pissy- wissy, Jacqueline “Penny” (Rodney) Parham of Petersburg, VA; brother Robert (Jean) Talley of Petersburg.; two sisters-in-law, Katherine and Mable Talley, numerous nieces and nephews, five devoted, Brenda, Shirley, Joanne, Debbie and Allen “Bo” Talley; over fifty grandchildren, four of whom she supported with rearing, Alison Legal, Jacqueline Kersey, and Charita and Darius Tucker; and one granddaughter who thought her grandma was the best thing since sliced bread, Sharman Robinson; thirty-five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

A service of remembrance for Baby Ruth Campbell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 2801 Mechanicsville Turnpike Richmond, Va; with Bro. Lester Mitchell, officiating.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law Brenda (Ernest) 1809 Parlow Dr. Richmond, Va., at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the service.
