Donald Corniel Bass, Jr. (DJ), gained his wings on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was born on January 28, 1993 at Halifax Regional Hospital to Lesia Moore & Donald C. Bass, Sr.

 

DJ loved the Lord and had truly accepted Christ at an early age at Cedar Grove #1 Baptist Church and continued his journey with the Lord at Immanuel Church under the leadership of Pastor Sherry Ross. He loved to sing and dance. He was a comedian and had a warm smile that would light up a dark room.

 

DJ was preceded in the death by two grandfathers, William Moore and Percalee Bass; a great-grandmother, Inez White; and an uncle, Anthony Bass.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Samantha Marquez Bass; his loving and dedicated mother, Lesia Daniel (Clyde Daniel, Jr.); his father, Donald Bass Sr.; three sisters, Tiara Strange (Rondy), Keondra Toombs, and Daneesha Coe (Lamont); one niece, Ashantee Strange; one nephew, Zion Strange; one brother, Anthony Daniel; three grandmothers, Bessie Moore, Clara Bass, and Annie Daniel; one grandfather, Clyde Daniel Sr.; five aunts, Mae Bullock, Cassandra Bass, Carrie McFail (Spanky), Jennifer Daniel, and Sheila Daniel; three uncles, Patrick Moore (Cassandra), Rodney Garland, and Rommie Daniel; a special friend, Emoni Forbes; and a host of great family and friends that loved him deeply.

Viewing for Donald Bass Jr. will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 9am to 9pm at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.

Funeral service for Donald Bass Jr. will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, Virginia 23924 with Bishop Vincent E. Harris, Pastor of Cathedral Deliverance Ministries, Richmond, Virginia, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 5120 Highway 47, Chase City, Virginia 23924.

The family and friends will assemble 10:00A.M the day of service at 5120 Burnt Oak Terrance Apt. 202 North Chesterfield Virginia.
