Thomas Isham Pryor, Jr.( December 25, 1951 - November 4, 2019 ) As written by Thomas Isham Pryor, Jr.…… I came into this world, by way of Thomas I. Pryor, Sr., of Boston , Mass. and Margaret Thomas Williams Pryor of Macon, Ga. at 7:50a.m.December 25, 1951 at 1324 Baylor’s Lane. I left this world on Monday, November 4, 2019, surrounded by family. But remember, as long as you live, I Live…. I attended Peabody High School, Class of 1970, but enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1969. And after being honorably discharged in 1971, went back to school, attending Petersburg High, Class of 1974. I’ve been a loyal Washington Redskins fan since 1966. I worked several jobs but none gave me more satisfaction than being on stage in the theatre. The second most important date in my life was October 8, 1983 the day I wed my beloved wife, Glorydine Manns Pryor and we started our family. While we had our ups and downs, I don’t for a moment regret it. Family is everything to me and I love’em all very much. I eventually gave up the streets and a lot of bad habits except for smoking, which I quit the other day, only because my number came up and I bought the farm…. But family and our children became the most important things in my life; again, I truly love my family and always will. I was preceded in death by my parents and two brothers, Eddie E. Gonder (55) and William A. Pryor, Sr.,(55); my grandparents , William Pryor and Jennie Davis of Boston, Mass.; and Eddie and Lillian Williams of Macon, GA.; uncles, Thomas, Eddie and Andrew Williams all of Detroit, Mich., and Macon, GA; my father and mother-in-law, Lathurs and Mable Manns; one niece, Donna Kaye Gonder Taylor of Richmond, Virginia; and my great nephew-niece, Calvin “Cyerra” Spaulding Gonder. I am survived by the joy of my life, my beloved wife of 36 years, Glorydine Manns Pryor; my favorite eldest daughter, Kimberly M. L. Ford; my favorite and only son, Thomas I. Pryor III. ; and my favorite youngest daughter, Tracy M. Pryor; one niece, Solonia Faye Ellis (Carroll) of Richmond, Virginia; one nephew, Joseph Robinson of Maryland; five sisters-in-law, Salonia D. Pasman of Maryland, Clemetine Brooks- Cole of Chester, Virginia, Joyce Ann Manns of Richmond, Virginia, Barbara Green (Walter) and Belinda Taylor (Marvin) all of Petersburg,Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Lathurs Manns, Jr.(Jean) and Claiborne “Cliecko” Manns; two cousins, Lillian Ray and family, and Eddie Williams III of Macon GA.; great nephews and nieces, Carroll (Ariel), Hugh Gonder, Evelyn, Ellen (Delvin), Deborah, William Jr., Whitley, Wynette, Britney, Natasha, Francis (Deangelo), Denise (James), Jasime, Brittney, Corey, Alex and Eric; adopted grandchildren, Makari and Erianna Foster; my homies, Irvin Carson and Smiley (all deceased ) Lil Joe, Lil Jimmie, Peaches, Terry, Tee Lee, Berle, Bernard, Hard Time and William Fields, my J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Est. Family, my River Run Neighbors and last but not least , my Refuge Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Family. A special thanks to all my nurses at McGuire VA Medical Center, 5C, Karen, Lillie, Len, Gracie, Alyssa, Susan, Diane, Ruth and Martha. No Flowers Please. Again, Remember as long as you live, I live…within you. Love y'all, Thomas I. Pyor, Jr.
