Mr. Frank Davis Harris entered his eternal rest on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home. "David" as he was affectionately known was born March 16, 1953 to the late Mr. Johnie T. and Mrs. Laurine Harris.

He was baptized in Jesus name at Morning Star Holiness Church. He graduated from Mary Bethune High School and was a mechanic by trade and a businessman. David knew how to collect and he collected many, many, many things. Fred Sanford didn't have anything on him. David LOVED to talk and never met a stranger.

David had a gentle temperament, always smiling. One of his passions was fishing. He loved to joke with his nieces and nephews pinching them. He would "grease their palms" with a couple of dollars if he had some extra money.

He was preceded in death by three brothers;  Mr. Timothy Harris, Mr. George Bailey and Mr. Stephen Harris and one sister; Mrs. Jeanette Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory four sisters; Mrs. Esther Mosley (Carter) of South Boston, VA, Ms. Audrey Jefferson of Durham, NC, Mrs. Sheila Tucker (Allen) of Danville, VA and Mrs. Della Jordan (Jay) of Boydton, VA. Three aunts, Ms. Mattie Holt of NJ, Ms. Hattie Green of MD and Ms. Elma Lee of MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David, we're going to miss your smile and your words of advice but we celebrate you  today. You are gone but will never be forgotten.  Take your rest David, Take your rest.

Memorial  service will be conducted Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.L Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment-Danville.

The family is asking that relatives  and friends to assemble at the funeral home on day of service at 10:45am.
