Mr. Benjamin McArthur Stone,”Pooh”. 61, of Burtonsville, Maryland (formerly of Chatham, Virginia) entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Center, Silver Spring, Maryland.

 Ben was born April 13, 1960, in Chatham, VA to the late Benjamin and Evangelist Shirley Ann Stone. He attended Chatham Virginia Public Schools. He resided in Chatham, VA until adulthood when he decided to move to Washington, D.C. to live with family members for a broader opportunity in life.

In the spring of 1985, Ben met his Queen, Victoria while volunteering at the Special Olympics, in Washington, D.C. On July 19, 1986, they were joined as one in holy matrimony for 36 years and became a proud father to Victoria’s daughter, Karena.  Ben worked in various positions for over 30 years with George Washington University, until retiring 2016.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents; Benjamin and Evangelist Shirley Ann Stone; and two brothers, Kenneth Stone and Donelson Stone.

Ben is survived by his wife, Victoria Ann Stone; daughter, Karena D. Tucker (Darryl); grandson, Kevon A. Barnes; brother-in-law, Kevin A. Terry; sister, Tracey Wise; brothers Ricky Stone (Sharon), Norman Lee Stone (Monica) and Wesley Berger (Patricia); and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the professional staff of DaVita Calverton Dialysis Center, Beltsville, MD for the loving care given to Ben during his treatment.
