Mr. Frank Daniel Smith 78, of Petersburg Virginia departed his life on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his residence.

Frank retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation in Hopewell Virginia.

He was a loving person, he loved to talk, joke and have a great time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Ann Smith and his son, Franklin Lamar Smith both of Petersburg Virginia.

Frank is survived by his loving grandchildren, Troy Smith and Shakira Bell both of Petersburg, VA.; one great granddaughter, Tatyana Smith, one great grandson, Cassius Bell all of Dinwiddie, VA.; and a host of relatives and friends.

 A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Frank Daniel Smith will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:00p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment Petersburg Virginia. Rev. Alexander Williams, Pastor, Big Bethel Baptist Church, McKenney, Virginia, officiating, Rev. Janet Jones, Associate Minister, First Baptist Church, West Petersburg, Eulogist. The interment will follow at the Dinwiddie Memorial Park Petersburg VA.

 A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 12p.m. to 8p.m. at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment-Petersburg Virginia.

 The family will assemble at 10:45 a.m. on the day of service and will receive relatives and friends at the residence 105 Griggs St., Petesburg, Virginia.
