Mr. Melvin Robert Logan, Jr. "Murl"( February 3, 1956 - August 28, 2022 ) Melvin R. Logan, Jr., of 1856 Fall Creek Drive Danville, Virginia was born February 3, 1956 to the late Pastor Elder Melvin and Ida Logan. He attended New True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church. Melvin attended Dan River High School where he played football. With his love for football, he helped coach youth football with his brother, Coach Hugh R. Logan, Sr. at Danville Parks and Recreation. He attended every football game last year to cheer his nephews, Hugh III and Chase to victory! Melvin enjoyed hunting and fishing with his nephews, Randy Jr., Nikita and his brother, Randy Sr., He would often warn them that he would cut their pant legs if they shot and missed the rabbit. To avoid this, the nephews walked around with no bullets in their guns. He would laugh and tell them that they needed bullets to shoot the rabbits! He loved fishing alone or sometimes with others, filling freezers of everyone but his own.
