Mr. David Warren Evans, Sr.( June 18, 1954 - November 29, 2022 ) On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Staff Sergeant David Warren Evans, Sr., a decorated Air Force veteran, passed away at the age of sixty-eight. During his military service, which included a tour in Italy, he earned many awards. His service brought him into a lifelong friendship with his best friend and fellow Air Force service man, Flenoy McDonald. This led him to wed Flenoy’s sister, now dearly departed, Leah Evans. Over 15 years of marriage garnered David a legacy of six children. He was a steward in the community with his years of volunteer service at the hospital and work with at-risk children. David thoroughly enjoyed his peace and quiet times. There wasn't a car he wouldn't accept the challenge of fixing, or a tool that didn't get used when needed. When he wasn't helping someone in their time of need, David enjoyed playing music and watching sports. David Warren Evans, Sr., was preceded in death by his father, Lewis R. Evans, Sr., and brothers, Willie B. Evans, and Keith L. Evans. David leaves to cherish his memory, his children, David W. Evans, Jr., Devon L. Evans (Karah), Dominick D. Evans, Dontel D. Evans, John H. Roland, and Tachiea N. Roland-Morris (Robert); his mother, Elnora B. Evans; three brothers, Lewis R. Evans, Jr., Kenneth L. Evans, Sr. (Colleen), Clifton L. Evans (Delores); one sister, Vanessa G. Evans, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
