Tonny Carol Smith, 66, of Danville, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 26 at Riverside Rehabilitation Center.

Tonny was born to the late Harvey Lee Williams and Peggy Ann Smith.  He was educated in the Danville Public School System.

Tonny was predeceased by his parents, Harvey Lee Williams and Peggy Ann Smith; a daughter, Danielle Reeves; six sisters, Sonja Rasberry, Marilyn Wiiliams, Loretta Terry Davis, Lorena Terry Carter, Audrey Bennett and Jean Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bernice Smith; eight daughters, LaTonya Stephens, Teniecia Wallace, Amanda Fuller, Melvina King, Talonda King, Miracle King, Kimberly West and Trese Adams; two sons, Corey Payne and Tony King; nine sisters, Christine Johnson, Jackie Coleman, Patricia Childress, Valarie Terry, Debra Ann Bennett, Deborah Avery, Christy Brown, Robin Smith and Karen Smith; seven brother, Antonio Leftwich, Keith Robinson, Randy Miller, Sean Motley, Norman Smith, Ray Smith and Stephen Smith; a host nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 1:00 p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Danville, Virginia.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 5 pm – 7 pm, at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia 24541.

Masks are required at all visitations and services. Attendance may be limited.
