It is with heavy hearts that we honor and say goodbye to our precious baby girl.  Some people only dream of angels but we held one in our arms. Chosyn  Alalyla Jackson was born September 2, 2023 to Shawniyah Epps and Dreshawn Jackson in Richmond, VA.  She was called into her eternal rest by our God on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Richmond, VA.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, James Pettaway, Joan Ann Pettaway, Johnnie Epps; great uncle, John Cunningham.

Chosyn leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Choyce Jackson, her grandparents, Chiquita Pettaway, Waverly Epps, Trenelle Jackson, Richard Paul; great grandparents, Sharon Pettaway, Colleen Jiggets, Howard Lee Jiggets, Donna Jackson and Gary Williams; five aunts, Que'asia Pettaway, Shandajia Ruffin, Morgan Epps, Nashiya Jackson and Latavia Taylor; four uncles, Zaquaze Reese, Malachi Epps, Shandrick Jackson and Daquan Madison;

 three great aunts, Katara Pettaway, Shalitia Epps and Tanya Jackson; three great uncles, Raymond Pettaway, Kenneth Jackson and Antonio Epps; Godparents, Monica and A'darryl Marshall;  a host of cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Service for Baby Chosyn  Alalyla Jackson  will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023  2:00pm at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment- Petersburg, Virginia. Pastor  Rashaun Hill,Officiating, Eulogist,  Friendship Congregation Church Of God Petersburg Virginia. 

The family is asking that relatives and friends to assemble at the funeral establishment at 1:45p.m. on day of service.

Masks are required at all visitations and services. Attendance may be limited. Attendees are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
