Mr. James Cary Williams entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.

James was born August 19, 1958, in Danville, Virginia to the late Noah Williams and Lula Snipes Williams.  He was educated in the Danville Public School System.  He was self employed as a carpenter and landscaper.

James was married to Iletha Wiles Williams, who survives.  He was a fast learner, enjoyed painting but most of all, spending time with his family.James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Iletha Wiles Williams; two stepdaughters, Lalisha Graves and Monique Wimbush; six brothers, O Harold Williams of Danville, Virginia, Olander Williams (Janie) of Danville, Virginia, Jerry Williams (Carolyn) of Kentucky, Noah Williams of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Terry Williams of Virginia and Larry Williams (Belinda Eubanks) of Silver Springs, Maryland; two sisters, Olivia W. Lewis of Danville, Virginia and LaVerne W. James (Edward) of Hillsborough, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

The celebration of life service will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia at 2:00 p.m.  Pastor Glen Allen, The Three Angel Message Seven Day Adventist Church, Officiating.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

The family is asked to assemble at the residence, 761 Melville Avenue, Danville, Virginia at 1:15 p.m. on the day of service.
