Mr. Isaac Thomas Adams entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

“Ike” as he was affectionately called was born June 1, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Johnny Berkley Adams, Sr. and Mary Clark.  He was raised in Pittsylvania County by his grandmother, Nannie Bet Clark.

“Ike” was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System.  He was married to his wife, Ivory Jean Adams, for forty-one years.  He enjoyed life and talking with his family and friends.  He was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan.

“Ike” was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Johnny Berkley Adams, Sr. and Mary Clark; his grandmother, Mrs. Nannie Bet Clark; two sibling, Roxie Adams and Johnny Berkley Adams, Jr.

He is the last member of his immediate generation.

“Ike” leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Ivory Jean Adams; a daughter, Pam; two sons, Leslie and Brian; two sisters in law, Gwendolyn McCain and Mertice Adams; a brother in law, Leon Mitchell; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from the chapel of J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia. Prophetess Rena Kernodle, Eulogist

A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 6:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

The family is asking relatives and friends to assemble at the funeral home  on the day of the service at 11:45 a.m.
