Our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Wendy Brenette Thomas of 106 Kadesh Ct. Blairs, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at Sovah Health Danville.  

She was born March 19, 1968, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Sam Thomas Sr. and the late Irene James Thomas. 

Wendy attended school in Chatham, Virginia and later attended School for the Blind in Richmond, Virginia.  She successfully completed the program and resided independently in Blairs, Virginia.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sam Thomas, Jr.,   Wendy was full of life; she enjoyed bowling and shopping with friends.  Wendy was always the life of the party.  Laughing and making others laugh.  She will truly be missed.    

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Captain Cornell Thomas, her daughter, Kwannya Foster, her grandson, Jehkai Ferguson, one brother, Steve Thomas (Suzette), four sisters, Rosemary Chattin (John), Michelle Poteat (Earl), Almeda Medley and Tosha Medley, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Acknowledging her special friends, Kenny Hall (Ruby), Mr. & Mrs. Morris Deshazor, Jimmie and Vera Myers, her church family, Three Angels Message Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Danville Virginia where she was a faithful member. 

Celebration of Life service for Wendy B. Thomas  will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Three Angels Message Seventh- Day Adventist Church, 541 Keen Street Danville, Virginia.  Pastor Glen Allen, Eulogist.

A public viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.,

The family is asked to assemble at the residence 106 Kadesh Ct.  Blairs, Virginia on the day of the service at 12:45 p.m.
