On March 27, 2026, Tian E. Johnson slipped the out of the bonds of this world and touched the face of God, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.  Tian was originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and he was born in the Children’s Hospital in Pennsylvania on December 3, 1987, that is when the fight started like all of us.  He came to Danville seven years after the death of his grandmother the late Jean Collins.

He was also preceded in death by his mother Kathy Johnson. 

Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his father, Roosevelt Johnson; one brother Doyya Johnson; three sisters Anessa Johnson, Latasha Smith and Zalacy A. Brewster; A close friend Amy Muller and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.  from the Chapel of J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia.
