Michelle Antoinette Turley was born on July 12, 1971, to Linda Marlene Turley and Larry Lee Turley. She departed this life on August 25, 2026. While her family mourns her physical absence, they celebrate the life she lived, the love she shared and the countless lives she touched.

Michelle was a natural leader from a very young age. At just 14 years old, she became president of her youth group, beginning a lifelong journey of leadership, faith and service. At the age of 29, Michelle became a House Director for the Gabriel Project, continuing her passion for helping and caring for others. She was a hard worker who took pride in what she did and believed in supporting those around her.

Michelle loved dancing, cooking and working She had a beautiful spirit and a heart that made room for many people. Her faith was also an important part of her life, and she was a member of Bibleway Cathedral in Danville, Virginia.

Michelle’s memory will live on in every laugh, every dance, every meal prepared with love, every helping hand and every life she made a little better. Although her journey on Earth has ended, her legacy continues in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Linda Marlene Turley and her father, James Lee Turley.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Shawanna Middleton and Shawneya Tyanna Tolson; her beloved grandson, Da’von Isaiah Middleton; and her brother, Alvin Herring.

She is also loved and remembered by her nieces, Kaneshia Adams, Sheris Luck, Ariyanna Herring and Ariyanna Barksdale; nephews, Kevin Miller and Sidney Creekmore; sisters, Sonya Norman and Jackie Fitzgerald; and her best friend, Dena Carpenter, along with many other relatives and friends.
