Antione Toran

Mr. Antione Maurice Toran, aka “T-Lo”, age 35, of Petersburg, VA departed this life on Saturday, December 12, 2020. He was born on March 28, 1985 to Geraldine Toran and Jerry Houp, both of Petersburg, VA.

Antione was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 2004. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, listening to music, laughing, joking and spending time with his family and friends. He was a true fan of the Baltimore Ravens, the "purple team" as he called it. He was also a very dedicated father to his daughters.

Antione was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Curtiss and Mary Toran; paternal grandparents, Bertha and O'Berry Houp; aunt, Priscilla Sheppard; uncles, Curtis Toran, Jr. and O'Berry Houp, Jr. ; devoted niece, Shanquasia Coleman; and devoted friend, Dionte Mason.

Antione leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted mother, Geraldine Toran; and his devoted father, Jerry Houp; his pride and joy, his daughters, Iyanna and Arianna Toran; fiancé , Kenda McDaniel; four sisters, one very devoted, Lakesha Peterson (Kendrick), Katrina Bledsoe, Tanya Bledsoe and Alicia Houp; very devoted brother, Jerel Toran; god brother, Jonathan Smith; four nieces, Keshae, Ke'Miyah & Ke'Shauna Peterson and special devoted niece, Kearriah Butcher; one great niece, Khaliya Phillips; eleven aunts, Toni Toran, Nanette Hudson (Sherman), Gloria Toran, Veronica Toran, Tina Toran (Bernard), Sheila Grace, Katie Houp Lynch, Christine Houp, Faye Houp Knight, Annette Houp Maple and Janet Houp; uncles, Bernard Houp and Earl Houp; cousins, LaChan Toran, Tavares Sheppard, Tawana Toran, VonTia Toran, DaVonte Toran (Angie), Keonya Toran, Tierra Toran, Takia Toran (Keith), Dermaine Barrett, Dantron Barrett, Curtis Toran III, Schmakia Bray, Kiyana Barrett, Kory Brothers (Patricia), Kecia Hayes (Cliff), and Jaida Hayes; and a host of other relatives; very special extended family, Tammara Wilkins, David Donald, Jerome Sauls, Dwight Scott, Ardetta Gibson; and several devoted friends, among them Russell Atkins, RaShanda Mason, Timothy Lee, Bert Adkins, Kip Banks, Sharod Cain, Latonya Haskins, Latara Haskins, Charles Stevenson and Anthony Simms.

Public viewing for Antione Toran will be on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.

Drive in Celebration of Life service for Antione Toran will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00pm at Dinwiddie Memorial Park, 7324 Church Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803, Rev. Damian T.Batts, Officiating.

Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence of his mother, Geraldine Toran, 1412 Baylor’s Lane, Petersburg, Va at 1:00PM on the day of the service.

Masks are required at all visitations and services. Social distancing guidelines must also be followed.
