Michael Scott Palmer

On June 29, 2021 our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ called our beloved father, son, brother and grandfather home.

Michael was born and educated in the Halifax County School System. He professed his love for Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Pleasant CME Church.

Michael loved to hunt and fish. He was married to the late Elizabeth D. Womack.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle E. Womack; one brother, Henry F. Palmer, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Ms. Joy R.L. Palmer, Ms. Angel L. Womack and Ms. LaTisha W. Marable; his mother, Ms. Geneva E. Palmer; three sisters, Sarah P. Perez (Jorge), Linda J. Briggs (Tracy), and Victoria P. Majors (Edward); one brother, James W. Palmer; eight grandchildren; three devoted friends, Sherman Williams, Robbie Farmer, and Carter Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Michael Scott Palmer will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 5pm to 8pm  at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment – Danville, Virginia.

Drive in celebration of life service for Mr. Michael Scott Palmer  will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant CME Church 7184 Mountain Rd. Halifax, Virginia 24558.   Rev. Evon Bush, Pastor, Officiating, Eulogist.

Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church on day of service at 10:45 a.m.
