Mr. Allen Terry

Blessed at the age of 88, entered his new life with the Lord on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Danville, Virginia.

Allen was born on March 12, 1936 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, the son of the late Margaret Payne.  He was educated in Pittsylvania County School System.  Allen was disabled for many years.

Allen accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church and later united the New Mine Creek Progressive Primitive Baptist Church.  He attended church as often as he could.

Allen leaves to cherish his precious memories, one aunt, Deaconess Queen Stone; a special caregiver, Rosa Minter and a host of relatives and friends. 

Celebration of  life service for Mr. Allen Terry will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at  New Mine Creek Progressive Primitive  Baptist Church 1525 Malmaison Rd. Blairs Virginia Elder Donnie Tinnin, Pastor, Officiating.  Remains will rest in the church one hour prior to service.  Interment service will follow in the Highland Memorial Park 3049 N. Main St.  Danville, Virginia.

A public viewing will be held Tuesday,  July 25, 2023 from 4 pm – 6 pm  at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia 24541.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence , 120 Old Piney Forest Lot 11 Danville Virginia and asked to assemble on day of service at 10am.
