Mr. Curtis Lee Reeves

Mr. Curtis Lee Reeves of 1122 W. High St., Petersburg, VA, departed his life August 5, 2023.  He was born in Lynchburg Virginia to the late Willie Wilson and Yvonne Hughes Reeves. 

 Curtis was employed by Thompson Hospitality for 15 ½ years at Virginia State University Petersburg Virginia.  Curtis enjoyed fishing, good music, working, relaxing and riding out with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis L. Dammones, brothers, Willie Tommie and Barry Reeves, and a sister, Vanessa Reeves.

 Curtis is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Queen Reeves of Petersburg, Va,; sons, Quentin Dammones and Christopher Dammones of Lynchburg, Va;, two brothers, Buster Reeves and Larry Reeves, two sisters, Deborah Reeves and Yvonne Reeves all of Lynchburg, Va;.
three loving grandkids, three sisters-in-laws,  Olivia Pegram, Gloria Stewart, and Phyllis (Jerr) Barnes, two brothers- in- law, Russell and Carol Raines , one devoted friend, Sutina Tabb, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service for  Mr. Curtis L. Reeves will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023  1:00pm at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment- Petersburg, Virginia. Rev. Karesha Williams, Officiating, Eulogist.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church 3301 Fort Ave. Lynchburg Virginia. 

Public viewing will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment – Petersburg.

The family is asking that relatives and friends to assemble at the funeral establishment at 12:45p.m. on day of service.
