Mr. Jerry Lee Davis, Sr.,

Jerry Lee Davis Sr., of Matoaca, went to his eternal home with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 21, 2023. 

He was born on June 25, 1950, the son of the late Cary Sr. and Meryl Davis, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Davis, his brother-in-law Woody Agnor and his father-in-law, Jearl Sutherland.

 Jerry was a devoted member of his church, Walthall Baptist, and dearly loved all of his church family.  He retired from Dupont at an early age and was able to spend a lot of time coaching his sons and many others on the ball fields. He had a passion for music and regularly used his God given talent to sing, to glorify His Lord and bless others.  Jerry loved God, his family and his church. 

 He is survived by his loving bride of 53 years, Brenda Kay Davis; his five sons, Jerry Lee Davis Jr., Daniel Davis (Kim), David Davis (Sara), Matthew Davis (Kristen) and Mark Davis (Kathryn); ten grandchildren, Kendall Davis, Daniel Davis Jr. (Emily), Ethan Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Angel Grace Davis, Lucas Davis, Kaleb Davis, Kaden Davis, Olivia Davis and Easton Davis; two great grandchildren, Layla Stroud and Juliah Anne Davis.  He is also survived by his brother Cary Davis Jr. (Trudy), his sister Ann Agnor, and his sister Doris Watson (Clyde); many nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law Carra Sutherland. 

 A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Oct 7, 2023 at 2 pm at Walthall Baptist Church 14001 Woods Edge Rd. South Chesterfield, Virginia and officiated by his beloved pastor, George Schutte.
