Mr. Ricky H. Johns

Ricky Hamilton Johns, 66 of 120 Old Piney Forest Road Lot #57 Danville, VA departed this life on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA

He was born April 29, 1958, in Virginia to the late Cager Johns and Helen Gaye Tyree.   He was an army veteran.  Rick was a humble and giving man who worked as a long-distance truck driver.  He loved to fish and be outdoors.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and Max (the family dog).  

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Maryann Johns of Danville, VA ; step mother, Patricia Clark (Clifford) of Buena Vista, VA;   step daughter, Danielle Willett ( Chris) Blacksburg, VA;   two step-sons; Warren Dennis  and friend Tammy of Danville, VA and Jessie  Dennis and friend Shelby  of Chatham, VA;  four brothers,  David Johns, Clarence White (April) and Thomas White (Joni) all  of  Fairfield, VA and Cager Johns, Jr. of Maryland ;  four sisters, Carla White (Dennis) of  Fairfield, VA ,  Karen Johns (Howard) , Esther Johns and  all of Pennsylvania  and  Crystal Bottenfield (Robbie) of Buena Vista, VA;   one brother -in-law, Leonard Vacanti  of Buena Vista, VA ; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will be announced by the family.
