Mr. Robert L. Drew, Sr.,

Mr. Robert Lee Drew, Sr., age 88, of 576 Laurel Springs Road, Spring Grove, VA passed peacefully away Sunday December 5, 2021, at Johnston Willis Hospital. 

Robert worked as a farmer until retiring. He loved his family. He was a loving and very devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He also loved fishing, walking and yard work.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Drew; brothers, Leroy, Herbert, and Reginald Drew; and sisters, Rosa Harrison and Thelma Prince.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of sixty-one years, Mary Drew; his children, Robert Drew Jr. (Sherry), Mary Saunders (Fred), Marvin Drew (Brenda), Lincoln Drew (Michelle), Fredrica Holmes (Vernon), William Drew (Quisha), and Margaret Davis (Bryan); two embraced daughters, Doris Fitzgerald and Ophelia Hatch Jackson; twenty-six  grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren; three brothers,  William Drew (Patricia), Arthur Drew, and Andrew Drew (Jenny); one sister, Linda Drew; one sister-in-law , Maggie Stewart ; brother in-law Daniel Burt; one aunt, Cortillia Newby; devoted niece,Tahisha Harrison; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services for Mr. Robert L. Drew, Sr., will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 12:00p.m. at Waverly Cemetery Spring Branch Road Waverly Virginia. with District Elder Joseph Shaw, eulogist, officiating.

A public viewing will be held Thursday , December 9, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00pm at J.L. Dodson & Sons Funeral Establishment- Petersburg Va.

Relatives and friends are asked to assemble at the residence at 10:45 a.m. on the day of the service.

Masks are required at all visitations and services.
