Mr. John Robert Williams, III
Mr. John Robert Williams, III 58, of 432 Deer Ridge Road Spring Grove, Virginia departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at VCU Medical Center Richmond Virginia.
John was born March 26, 1964 to the late John R. Williams, Jr. and Maggie Williams of Surry, Virginia.
He graduated from Sussex Central High School in the class of 1983. John’s first job was working for Joseph Dobie on Railroad Avenue Waverly Virginia at the age of fifteen and later he worked at the Spurlock Company in Waverly, Virginia.
John knew the Word of God and later joined Abundant Life Christian Church in Spring Grove, Virginia.
John was preceded in death by his father, John R. Williams, Jr.; his stepfather, Charlie Stewart, and grandmother, Victoria Stallings.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend, Delois Smith; three daughters, Danielle Taylor of Petersburg, Virginia, Sierra Preston and Candis Preston both of Roanoke, Virginia; his mother, Maggie Williams stewart of Spring Grove, Virginia; three sisters, Mary Allen of Spring Grove, Virginia and Patricia Turner of Waverly, Virginia and Carnita Stewart Petersburg, Virginia; three brothers, Timothy Williams, Brevard Williams both of Waverly, Virginia, and Ronald (Cheryl) of Richmond, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Amaya and Aaliyah Taylor, Justin Alston, C’Montrea and C’Niya Preston, Rasean Barker, Jurayah Curtis, Isaiah and Zayden Sharpe; a great grandson, Aiden, whom he never had the chance to meet; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation for Mr. John Robert Williams, III will be on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 3p.m.- 8p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment-Petersburg VA.
Celebration of life services for Mr. John Robert Williams, III will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Abundant Life Christian Church, 784 Cabin Point Road, Spring Grove, Va. with Pastor Leon Pettaway, Officiating. Interment to follow in the Abundant Life Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will assemble at 11:45 am on the day of the service and receive friends at 432 Deer Ridge Road, Spring Grove, Va.
