Mrs. Juanita Durant Beard

Juanita Geneva Beard (Durant) 72, of Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025 at Sovah Health at 9:30pm.

 B Juanita born on January 25,1953, in Leaksville, North Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late Lucille Hairston and Romey Durant.

 Juanita dedicated many years of her life to her work as a custodian at Sears Department Store, where she was admired for her diligence and commitment. Outside of her professional life, she found joy and fulfillment as a devoted member of Saint John’s One Accord Holiness Church, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life. 

She is survived by her loving husband Jerry Beard; her cherished daughter Patricia Durant; and two treasured grandsons, Jaquon Durant and Zavihian Durant. Her family was the center of her world and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. 

A viewing to honor Juanita’s life will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at J. L .Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment 447 Old South Main Street, Danville Virginia, 24541.
