Mrs. Leona Jennings Price

Our loving mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and dearest friend has gone to be with her mom, dad and two brothers. She will be missed dearly.

Leona Diane Jennings Price departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Piney Forest Nursing Home in Danville, Virginia. She was born October 10, 1960, at Danville Memorial Hospital to the late George Henry Jennings and Annie Lee Jennings.

Leona was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System. In her spare time, she enjoyed planting trees, collecting porcelain dolls, doing crossword puzzles, and riding around looking at the scenery.

Leona accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. She believed in serving the Lord faithfully.

Leona was united in matrimony to Jeffrey Price, who survives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael, and Jerry Jennings.

Leona leaves to cherish her memories, in addition to her husband; a daughter, Kimberly Jennings; two sons, Demetrius and Kenneth Jennings, both of Danville, Virginia; grandchildren, Kell, Kayla, Korey, Kameron, Jade, Kevin, Kendra, Amarion, Ja’ziya and Zyking; a stepson, Tyshawn J. Price; three great grandchildren, Lani (sweet pea), Harmony and Zaymire; two brothers, Gary Jennings (Teresa) and Donald Jennings (Donna); four sisters, Sherry Walton, Pamela Fitzgerald (Richard), Cathy Jennings (Yates) and Karen (Brooks); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life service for Mrs. Leona Jennings Price will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Apostolic Church, 166 New St. Danville Virginia with Bishop Michael Lee Walker, Officiating. The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at 10:45 a.m. at the church on the day of service.

For the health and safety of attendees, masks are required at all visitations and services. Attendees are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
