Mrs. Loretta LaRue Phelps

Loretta LaRue Phelps, “Momma”, of Danville, Virginia, departed from her loving family and entered into eternal rest on January 31, 2023 at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.

Loretta was born in Wake Forest, NC on August 29, 1958 to the late Rev. Dr. John Harper LaRue, and Marlene Moore LaRue.

To cherish her memories, Loretta leaves her children, whom she raised with love and devotion, Shane Reaves, Brian McConnell, Aaron McConnell, Rachael Owen, Caleb Ashley, and Alex Phelps, all of Danville, Virginia; a sister, Linda Faye Carter; her children blessed her with 11 grandchildren, that she was very proud of.

As Loretta's request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
