Mrs. Margaret Taylor Reece Covington

Margaret Reece Covington, 89 of Ringgold went to be home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 22, 2023. 

Born in Danville on December 26, 1933 a daughter of the late James Otis Taylor and Irma James Soyars Taylor.

On June 30,1951 she married the late James Richard Reece and on Oct.  25,1997 she married the late Archie Covington.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Lee Reece (Teresa) and B. Wayne Reece (Wanda), one daughter, Gail Reece Alvis (Michael) one Daughter in law, Dorothy Walker Reece, six grandchildren, Kimberly Reece Mohamed (Mohamed), Jason Reece, Brandy Walker, Ricky Shawn Reece, Taylor Alvis, (Linette), John Alvis (Kristin), three great grandchildren, Jackson Reece, Alivia Alvis and Jensen Alvis, three sisters, Maryanne Gregory (Gene), Jewel Demont and Vickie Thornton (Ronnie), many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by a son Ricky Gene Reece. 

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Deeper Life Fellowship Church, 2307 South Boston Hwy, Danville, VA at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Reece Officiating.

The family will receive friends at her daughter and son-in-law home at 1621 Fall Creek Rd., Ringgold, VA on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
