Mauretta was born on April 20th, 1944 to the late Thomas McKinnley and Lula Bell Forster Link.

She was a hard worker and educated. She attended New York College, where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse, BSN.

She is preceded in death, her parents, Thomas and Lula Link; two brothers, Thomas Link, Jr.,  and Walter Link; three sisters, Idelia Adams, Evelyn Russell and Mattie Talley.

She leaves to cherish her memory one child, Gregory Link of New York, New York; three brothers, Fred Link, William Link, and James Russell all of Danville, Virginia; a sister, Annette Elliott of Danville, Virginia; two grandchildren, Taneisha Warren and Eljae Hill, Sr.; four great grandchildren, Neishon Mims, Eljae Hill, Jr., Jael Hill, and Jada Hill; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services for Ms. Mauretta R. Link will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church 180 Kentuck Road Danville, Virginia with Pastor Troy Nevells , Officiating. Interment service will follow in the Flora Hills Memory Garden Highway 58 East  Danville Virginia.

A public viewing will be Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment-Danville.

The family is asked to assemble at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment at 11:00a.m. on day of service.
