Mozelle Denise Hamlett, departed this life on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at her home.

Born June 18,1959 in Danville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Cozelle Brandon and the late Vivan Brandon (Barksdale).

Mozelle attended the Danville Schools. After graduating from high school, she moved to Philadelphia but soon returned home to start her life of devoted mother and grandmother.

Mozelle, was preceded in death by her husband, Waverly Hamlett and her second daughter, Wendy Brandon.

Left with cherished memories are, two daughters, Wanda Brandon and Whitney Brandon; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, all of Danville, VA; one sister, Margaret Brandon; two brothers, Matthew Brandon (Betty) and Fabian Brandon, all of Danville, VA; close friend, Nancy Lipscomb of Danville,VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of life service for Mrs. Mozelle D. Hamlett will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment – Danville Virginia with Elder LaTasha Brandon, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, 100 Walter Mill Road, Danville, Virginia 24541.

The family is asking relatives and friends to assemble at her daughter's residence (Wanda Brandon), 633 Cabell St. Danville Virginia at 1:50 P.M. on the day of service.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment-Danville, Virginia.
