Ms. Shyanne Starks

Ms. Shyanne Starks entered eternal rest and went home to be with her Lord on June 14, 2026, at Bon Secour Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia,

Ms. Shyanne was born November 26, 1958, to the late Dellia Starks and Gwendolyn Inez Starks.   She preceded in death by her brother, Dellia Starks Jr and Sister, Carolyn Starks.

Ms. Shyanne lived for many years at Southside VA Training Center Petersburg, VA

Ms. Shyanne loved to go on outings, shopping, riding horses, loved babies and loved to dance. She also enjoyed meeting different people.

She leaves to cherish her sister Shirley Cole, Renee Washington; brother George, Jackie (Gina), Bernard, Michael Starks. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins, aunts Gracie Edward, Glady’s Lawler, Jannie Raines, Bertha Starks and Uncle Herbert Starks.

Celebration of life service for Ms. Shyanne Starks will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.  at J. L.  Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment – Petersburg, Virginia with a viewing one hour prior to service.

The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at the funeral home on the day of service at 1:45p.m.
