Ms. Peggy Lenora Wood

Peggy Lenora Wood left us peacefully on November 6, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of Wriley Creath Angel Wood and Lee Del Greco Wood. She is survived by her brothers Arnold Del Greco Wood (Bonnie) and Bradford Johns Wood; her nieces Emily Wood, Julia Wood, and Nora Wood; nephews Bradford Wood, Jr., Del Wood (Rachel), and Jason Wood.

Peggy was profoundly disabled, which inspired a special family bond, an appreciation of life, and instilled in her family an obligation to use our time and gifts wisely. Her parents' deep devotion for their first-born was evident throughout her 62 years, and these values were shared with her younger brothers and family.

Her nature was gentle and loving, which endeared her to her wonderful caregivers. The family would like to thank the doctors & staff of Hiram Davis Medical Center, Central Virginia Training Center, Bon Secours Southside ICU, the big hearts at Bon Secours Hospice House in Bon Air, Richmond, and all of Peggy's caregivers who shared their love for her over many decades.

A private graveside service will be held at The University Cemetery where Peggy will join her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Laura Del Greco.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 1133 Old Bon Air Road, Richmond, VA 23235.
