Runny Wendell Williams was born on August 29, 1959 in Waverly, VA. He was the son of Marie Williams and the late Obie Taylor Jr.

“CoolPapa”, as he was known to many, received his education in the Sussex County School System. He was employed for over 20 years by K. Jones Landscaping Inc. where he was held in high regard when it came to getting the job done! Runny loved the Lord and faithfully attended Twilight Missionary Baptist Church in Weldon, NC. Any one that knew “CoolPapa” found him to be a good hearted go getter, high spirited, and loving. “CoolPapa” loved him some nieces and nephews and they loved them some uncle Runny. He loved to dance and was always giving to and doing what he could for others. Whenever he was around you, he kept you laughing. Some would say he was the life of the party! But he also said what he meant and meant what he said! Everybody loved “CoolPapa”, especially that one Auntie (Aunt RoLee) he could always get that one dollar from. When it came to music, any Tupac song could play. Runny was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and looked forward to Football season. The Steelers will miss him and we will too. He will be forever loved.
