Wendy E. Harris

 Wendy Elizabeth Harris was born on July 15, 1969 in Danville, VA to the late Gladys B. Harris, and Robert E. Harris, who survives.

Wendy had a very outgoing personality. She never met a stranger. In doing so she developed a very creative mind and published three novels. Wendy became known as “Author Wendy E. Harris”. She will forever be loved and missed by all, and will forever live in our memory .

Wendy leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Chenika Harris, and Javon Harris both of Reidsville, NC; father, Robert E. Harris; three siblings, Spencer Beard, and Russell Harris both of Reidsville, NC; and Angela Williams of Danville, VA; seven aunts, Bobbie Johnson, Ester Harris, Helen Gunn Polson (Derrick), and Judith Totten, all of Danville, VA, Brenda Howerton of Durham, NC, Hazel Patterson of Paterson, NJ, and Margaret Blackwell of Greensboro, NC; seven uncles, James Beard (Gaye), Jasper Beard (Arbedlla), Jerry Beard (Juanita), and Lawrence Beard (Debra), all of Danville, VA, Michael Watkins of Paterson, NJ, and Willie Watkins of Eden NC; and a host of relatives and friends.

Celebration of life service for Ms. Wendy Elizabeth Harris will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment – Danville, Virginia.  Rev. Jasper Beard, Officiating , Eulogist.  Burial will be private. Family and friends are asked to assemble at  J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment at 10:45 a.m. on the day of the service.

A public viewing will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.
