On May 6th, 2020, Yumeko Michelle Williams was called home to rest. She was born on September 24, 1972 in Danville, Va. and was the daughter of the late Rochelle V. Williams and Diane Gunn Williams who survives.
Yumeko graduated from Warwick High School in Newport News, Virginia. After graduating from high school, she continued her career and got her degree in Computer Science. Yumeko later moved to Alexandria, Va. and was employed with CBRE in Washington, DC for many years.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry Jr. Gunn and paternal grandfather, O. Harold Williams.
Yumeko leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted mother, Diane Gunn Williams of Danville, Va.; brother, Corey Gunn of Danville, Va; sister, Reniqua Nicole Davis of Danville, Va; five children, Marquise Williams, Toney Whittle, Emmanuel Williams, Loven Michelle Williams, and Breyanna Williams, all of Danville, Va.; special aunts, Sheila Averette and Lilian Davis; paternal grandparents, Fannie Gunn and Dorothy Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A drive in Celebration of Life service for Ms. Yumeko Williams will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Highland Burial Park 3049 North Main St. Danville , Va; with Rev. Dr. Maurice Ferrell, Pastor, Vance St. Missionary Baptist Church, Officiating, Eulogizing.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at her mother’s residence 308 N. Pointe Ln. Apt.203 Danville, Va., at 1:00 p.m. on the day of the service.
