Mr. Harrison Crittendon of 712 Miller Street,Petersburg,Va.passed away on Tuesday,November 27,2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center,Petersburg, VA.
Harrison was born on November 2l,1960 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Randolph and Louise Stigall Crittendon. He was educated in the Dinwiddie County Public School System graduating from Dinwiddie County High School, Class of 1980.
Harrison was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, Va. He had been employed with the Carriage House in Petersburg,Va. and Central State Hospital,Petersburg, Va.until his health declined.
Harrison is preceded in death by his father, Randolph Crittendon, his mother, Louise S. Crittendon; brothers, Randolph Crittendon, Jr. and Richard Stigall; and sister, Carrie Lee Crittendon Mahan.
Left to cherish his memories are his brothers,James Stigall (Rosetta) of Blackstone, Va., Frank Stigall of Stafford, Va. and Ronnie Crittendon of South Hill, Va.;sister. Betty M. Stigall of Blackstone, Va.;aunt, Florence Stigall of South Hill, Va.;a special niece, Catherine Mahan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Harrison Crittendon will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 12:00pm from the Shiloh Baptist Church,4610 Darvills Road, Blackstone,Va. 23824, Pastor David Banks,officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Remains will rest in the church one hour prior to service. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence of Catherine Mahan (niece),4802 Wittmore Road, McKenney, Va. 23872, at 11:00am on the day of the service.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday,December 1, 2012 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 11:00am to 8:00pm at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment. Condolences may be registered at www.jldodsonandsons.com
