Mr. Horace Kevin Person “Birdman” of Daytona Beach, Florida. Formerly of Dinwiddie Virginia was called to be with his Father on June 6, 2015,
Horace was born to the late Henry Person and Barbara Lucille Henderson Person on February 7, 1965 in Dinwiddie County, VA. He was baptized and joined the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, VA at an early age. He attended the Petersburg Public School System. Horace later went to Coeburn Job Corp in Coeburn, Virginia., where he attain a degree in masonry plastering.
Horace leaves to cherish his memories to one special daughter, Jayla Williams 16 years old of Harrisonburg, Virginia; eight devoted siblings Mr. William H. Wyatt, Jr.; Mr. Charles Person (Deneen); Ms. Bernadine Person; Mrs. Celestine Person Jackson(Al); Mr. D’Quiency Person; Mr. Jerry Person(Barbara); Mr. Jerome Person all of Petersburg, Virginia; and Mr. Bobby Wyatt of Dinwiddie, VA.; three aunts, Annie Ruth Satterwhite (Solomon); Cora Michaels both of New Jersey; and Margie V. Henderson of Dinwiddie Virginia; a great aunt, Henrietta Manson of Dinwiddie,VA.; two uncles, Rayfield Henderson of New Jersey; and Bertram Henderson of Petersburg, Virginia.; a host of nieces one devoted Kayla Allen; nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace our brother, pain and grief is over and you now have everlasting peace.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God in Christ, 233 Halifax St. Petersburg, VA, the Rev Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr., Pastor. Rev. Alfred Perry, Pastor of United Faith of Prayer, Henderson, N.C. officiating. The interment to following at the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery 11119 Boydton Plank Road Dinwiddie, Va. 23841. Remains will lie in state at 12:45 p.m. until the hour of service.
A Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 from 7p.m. to 8p.m. at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at the brother’s residence, 1505 Regency Ct. Petersburg, Va., and asking that relatives and friends assemble at the residence on the day of services at 12:45 p.m.
