Phyllis Joan Shepherd Clarke of 3818 Orkney Rd. Colonial Heights, Virginia formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Regency Park, Barbados entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, December 24, 2106.
She was the daughter of the late Beryl Shepherd and Charles Breton.
Phyllis was the wife of the late Joseph Darnell Clarke.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Johnson; sisters, Olwen Austin and Eulene Kirton; and brothers, Lloyd, Earl and Calvin Shepherd.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Monica Martins (Can), Sandra Clarke, Jacqueline Bonilla and Juliet Clarke; grandchildren, Bianca, Jennifer, Nastassis, Maritza, Amanda, Brittani, Gregg, Jesse and Allana, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis Joan Shepherd Clarke will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church 228 Halifax Street Petersburg, Va. with Father Willis Foster, officiating. Interment to follow Friday, January 6, 2017 at 12:00 noon Rosehill Cemetery, Linden New Jersey.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2p.m to 4p.m. at the funeral home and at the Church from 6p.m. until the hour of service.
The family is asking that relatives and friends assemble at the residence of her daughter Jacqueline Bonilla 3818 Orkney Rd. Colonial Heights Va. at 5:45 p.m. on the day of the service and can contacted at (804)943-4110.
