Da’Quan Rashad Waters passed unexpectedly on March 7, 2020. He was born on March 16, 1998 to Sharee L. Bennett and Dante’ Waters. Born at 26 weeks and weighing one pound and seven ounces , Da’Quan was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and was not expected to live. We were blessed to have him for 21 years .

Da’Quan put a smile on the face of everyone that met him .  He was his mother’s Munchkin and was known to everyone else as Dae Dae.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Lee Bennett; great grandmother , Evelyn Phillips;  great  grandfather, Samuel Bennett; great great grandmother , Lucy Ann Robinson and great great grandfather , William Cooper.

He leaves to mourn his death , his mother , Sharee Bennett-Staves (Haywood); father, Dante’ Waters; grandmothers, Christine Bennett, Alfreda Berkley (Lester), and Beatrice Robinson; sisters, Khimani McCants, La’Maya Waters, Deiona Waters and Denise Waters; brother, Dante’ Waters Jr.; aunt, Andrea Bennett-Meredith (Steven ); uncles , Andre Bennett (Richelle), Jermario Robinson, Terrell Robinson, and Latif Robinson; favorite cousin , Da’Shawn Bennett; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Da’Quan will be truly missed.

A Memorial service for Da’Quan Waters will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the chapel of J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment.

The family is asking relatives and friends to assemble at 10:45 a.m. the day of service at the funeral home
