Darborh Denise Stephens was born on November 19, 1959, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to Cora Loretta Stephens.
Darborh was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church.
Darborh had various jobs throughout her life. She was last employed by Kmart in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Nisey was a major part of her family. Her love for her family was evident every day.
Darborh was predeceased by her mother; her longtime partner, Lindberg Law; and her brother Carl Stephens, Sr.
Darborh will be missed and celebrated continually in the memories of her sons, Shemorrie Stephens, Marcus Stephens and Jermal Stephens all of Danville, Virginia; her sisters, Joyce Wimbush ( Herman Sr.), Delbra Averette, Valerie Stephens and Pamela Beck all of Danville, Virginia; her brothers, Percy Stephens (Yolanda) of Dallas, Texas, Tyrone Stephens (Quanta) and Curtis Stephens of Danville, Virginia; a special friend whom she considered a sister, Barbara Law; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A public viewing for Ms. Darborh D. Stephens will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment - Danville, Virginia.
Celebration of life service for Ms. Darborh Stephens will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment – Danville, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Williamson, Officiant and Eulogist. Interment to follow in the Highland Memorial Park, 3049 North Main Street, Danville, Virginia.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence 841 Melrose Ave. Danville, Virginia on the day of the service at 12:45 pm.
Masks are required at all visitations and services and attendance may be limited. Attendees are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
