Obituary
Mr. Antwain Garfield Hampton entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.
Antwain was the son of the late Lafaye Ann Hampton and Kelvin King, Sr., who survives. He was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System and graduated from Tunstall High School.
Antwain was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Way of the Cross Church, where he attended since a child. He was also employed at Powell Furniture Warehouse.
“Twain,” as he was known by many, enjoyed listening to Rap Music (favorite artist – King Von), being outside, and playing basketball. He loved to eat. Antwain especially enjoyed spending time with Rome and Sam.
Antwain leaves to cherish his memories his father, Kelvin King, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Thomas Lynn and Anne Adams Hampton, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Rosetta King; four brothers, Antonio Hampton (Jessica), Kelvin King, Jr., Kelvin King, II and Kelvin King, III.; a sister, Kalissa King; two aunts, Margaret Sims and Beatrice Childress; three uncles, Thomas Lynn Hampton, Jr., William Hampton and Christopher Hampton; godmother, Levitta Adams; god Aunties and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Mr. Antwain Garfield Hampton will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at The Star of Bethlehem Way of the Cross Church, 161 Apostolic Drive, Cascade, Virginia, Bishop David Adams, Pastor, Officiating, Elder D.J. Jumper, Eulogist.
