We the family of Gerald Eugene Adams sorrowfully share the transitioning of our beloved brother, cousin and friend on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Sovah Health, Danville, Virginia.

Gerald was born in Danville, Virginia on March 27, 1958 to the late Deacon James Eugene Adams and Pastor Catherine Vaughn Adams.  He was a graduate of George Washington High School and served proudly in the United States Marine Corp.  He was married to the former Alberta “Bertie” Martin who preceded him in death.  Those to relish and cherish his memory are a loving brother, Donald “Don” Adams of the residence, 214 Seay Street, Danville, Virginia.

Amidst the ongoing Covid and related Respiratory ailments the family request that no food be brought to the residence. The family has entrusted the prestigious staff of Bishop Jeffrey L. Dodson, Sr. and J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia. 

A public viewing will be held at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main  Street, Danville, Virginia on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6 pm – 7pm.
