Jamal Capri “MallyMall” Anderson
In the early hours of Sunday, October 9, 2022, God sent his wondrous angels to claim his child, Jamal Capri Anderson.
Jamal was born on September 24, 1993, to James C. Anderson, Jr., and Sonya Y. O’Neal, who survives.
Jamal graduated from Gretna High School in the Class of 2012. He was employed at Goodyear Tire Company. He enjoyed playing basketball and playing the X-box with his brothers. Jamal was an outstanding son, a loving brother, and fantastic uncle. He loved his family and friends.
Jamal was preceded in death by his grandfather, James C. “JC” Anderson, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his mother, Sonya O’Neal of Chesterfield, VA; his father, James C. Anderson, Jr. of Pittsville, VA; two sisters, Jada O’Neal of Hanover, VA and Janae Fisher of Chesterfield, VA; two brothers, Jordan O’Neal and Arquis Fisher, both of Chesterfield, VA; maternal grandparents, Wayne O’Neal and Patti O’Neal of Rocky Mount, VA, and paternal grandmother, Cherise Anderson of Pittsville, VA; aunts, Sylvia O’Neal of Roanoke, VA, and Lavena Anderson of Pittsville, VA; nieces and nephews, Genesis, Khari, Landon, Grace, Amir, and Natalia, all of Chesterfield, VA; a special, devoted grandmother, Flossie Fisher; special devoted acting fathers, Alvin Eggleston and James Fisher, Jr.; and a host of relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Jamal Capri Anderson will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at New Ridgeway United Methodist Church, 1645 Ridgeway Road, Pittsville, Virginia at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Walter Coles, Officiant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is asked to assemble at the residence at 12:45 p.m. on the day of the service.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the chapel of J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Va. from 5 pm – 7pm.
