Obituary
Mr. Michael Dale Kernodle entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.
Michael was the son of the late William Kernodle and Elizabeth Kernodle, who survives.
Michael lived the majority of his life in Danville, Virginia. He moved to Washington, D. C. for a few years where he was employed by Cavaliers Men’s Shop. Upon returning to Danville, his home, he worked for several businesses performing janitorial services.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, William Kernodle; a sister, Pamela Kernodle and a brother, Jason Murray.
Michael Dale Kernodle leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Elizabeth Kernodle, of Danville, Virginia; one sister, Brenda Murray Lipscomb, of Pelham, North Carolina; two brothers, Angelo Kernodle of Danville, Virginia and Rev. Bobby Murray (Linda) of Reidsville, North Carolina; two uncles, Robert Kernodle (Carolyn) of Danville, Virginia and George Murray (Hattie) of Burlington, North Carolina; three aunts, Rosa L. Hairston, of Danville, Virginia, Jenny McCleary, of Maryland and Mary J. Poole (Donald), of Yanceyville, North Carolina; a host of cousins, family and friends.
Service for Mr. Michael Dale Kernodle will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 2, 2022 at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia. Rev. Eugene Lipscomb, Officiating and Rev. Bobby Murray, Eulogist’
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5pm – 7pm at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 447 Old South Main Street, Danville, Virginia.
The family is asked to assemble at 11:45 am at J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment on the day of the service.
